Therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” project. When you start care with me, we will tailor our work to your goals. I come to sessions not with an agenda, but with curiosity. I am trained in the below modalities and will utilize them to help you reach your goals
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Practical, goal-oriented type of talk therapy that helps you notice and change patterns of thinking and behavior that may be keeping you stuck. Instead of just talking about problems, CBT gives you tools to challenge unhelpful thoughts, practice new skills, and build healthier habits in real life. It’s collaborative, structured, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes that improve how you feel and how you cope day-to-day.
Motivational Interviewing (MI): Supportive, conversational style of therapy that helps you explore your own reasons for change without pressure or judgment to make moves. Instead of telling you what to do, MI focuses on listening, asking thoughtful questions, and helping you uncover your own motivation and confidence to move forward. It’s collaborative, compassionate, and designed to honor your autonomy while gently guiding you toward the changes you want to make.
Narrative Therapy Based on the idea that the stories we tell ourselves shape how we see our lives. Sometimes those stories are heavy, limiting, or focused only on problems. In Narrative Therapy, we work together to explore and re-author your story. We highlight your strengths, values, and the parts of your life that bring meaning. By separating you from the problem, Narrative Therapy creates space to see new possibilities and live in a way that feels more aligned with who you truly are.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): We focus on what’s working and building on your strengths, rather than getting stuck in what’s wrong. Instead of spending lots of time digging into the past, SFBT looks toward your goals and the future you want. Together, we identify small, practical steps you can take right now to move closer to the life you imagine. It’s a collaborative, optimistic approach designed to create meaningful change in a short amount of time.
